This library is small, but it has character(s)! I was camping nearby and needed some wifi to get my online homework done. The wifi was easy to access for my needs and the table had an outlet where I could plug in my laptop and phone. From what I could tell, this library is very involved with the community and has lots of events including a lego club!
Only one problem: a few kids forgot to use their indoor voices, so I had to put headphones in to drown them out and focus on my work.
I love the new library. The old location wasn't bad but it was small and easy to miss. The new location is in a neighborhood which is kind of tricky at first because you might not be sure you're in the right place. However, there is more parking which is a plus but the lanes and spots are a little narrow so I'd be careful about going with any oversized vehicles. The interior is very appealing to the eye and laid out nicely. I think my biggest complaint is that you do have to pay for DVD rentals which I'd prefer to rent for free from a library or at least match redbox's price at $1 vs $2. Even though you can keep the library's DVDs for a week, they aren't new releases so the additional dollar isn't worth it to me. Everything else is great, including the workers!
Beautiful setting for a newly renovated building. Plenty of parking and easy handicap accessibility. Fantastic kid's area with interactive play and great programs for the young and older sector alike. Warm and friendly staff and volunteers. Don't miss out on visiting this community library!
